Little Kid Programs (Walking-Age 5)

LITTLE KIDS ~ Birth - 5

Open Play~ An open gym explorations for children that are just walking through 5 year olds. The gym is open and set up for the children to explore and play in a safe environment. An instructor is always present in the gym to help guide and begin the “instructor-student” interaction, but a parent must always be within arms reach of the child to assist and maintain safety. This is a “drop-in” program and does not require pre-registration. (2 hours)
Attire: comfortable clothing, without zippers, snaps or buckles, bare feet.

Tykes Gym~A child’s first introduction to a structured class. For ages 2 1/2 - 3 1/2. This class helps transition the child into an independent learning environment. In the beginning, the parent assists the child through the entire class, following the teacher’s instructions. As the year progresses, the parent slowly steps back and lets the child take the lead. The gymnastics lessons help develop gross and fine motor skills, while introducing the gymnastics basics of tumbling, balance, strength and flexibility. (40 minutes)

Preschool~ Our first child independent program. The curriculum of this program is to build around the young child’s love of movement and learning how to do new things. They will also develop listening and following verbal instruction skills, patience, team work, along with the handstands and cartwheels. (40 minutes)

Ballet/Gym I~ Ages 3 &4. Class length 55 minutes. Breakdown: 30 mins dance , 25 minutes gymnastics. In the dance portion, the students begin with stretches, go on to barre work, center work, and conclude the lesson with a song. For gymnastics, the children will participate on all gymnastics equipment and follow lessons of the preschool gymnastics program.
Attire:black short sleeved leotard, pink tights, pink tutu, pink ballet shoes, white gymnastics shoes.
